Corona, California (March 31, 2016) - Cycle Solutions Inc. is an authorized Lucas Motorcycle Oil Pit stop that does 24+ events a year. We exclusively use the Lucas motorcycle lubricants because they are the best on the market to promote longer engine life and their ability to reduce heat. We also use their octane booster to aid in better fuel burn. While at Daytona Bike Week 2016, we had a bike cross our dyno that had a case of "bad gas" so to speak. This is not unusual. We have many motorcycles that come to us that are suffering from detonation issues. Especially at large motorcycle events when everyone is buying up the premium fuels in a given location for a 2 week or longer period and the supply of premium fuel drops and all that is left is the premium from the bottom of the fuel pit.
We always have the Lucas Octane Booster available on our dyno because we are constantly seeing bikes that are coming in for tuning that are experiencing detonation problems that are either caused by bad gas, poor tuning or possibly ignition issues. Below is the perfect graph that shows a bike that hit the dyno that has a detonation issue. The red line shows the first pull on the dyno and you can notice that the graph is all over the place. The blue line on the graph is after we dumped some Lucas Octane Booster into the gas tank and did the second pull after running the motorcycle on the dyno for about a mile or so, so that the fuel could mix. Not only did the Lucas Octane Boost smooth out this bikes detonation issues, it actually provided more horsepower to boot!
We recommend that everyone keep a few bottles of this product with their motorcycle for when you fill up at a station and get bad gas. If you want better fuel mileage, lubricate your upper cylinders , prolong the life of your pumps, injectors and carburetors and gain a little horsepower then use this product with every fill up. This product will not damage oxygen sensors as some people will tell you. It is safe for all oxygen sensors, catalytic converters and turbos!
This product can be purchased in a single 2 oz size or a larger 15 oz bottle. For those that want to use this product on a regular basis we recommend you buy the 2 oz by the case or purchase one of the 2 oz bottles along with the larger 15 oz bottles. That way you can use the smaller bottle as a measuring device by pouring octane boost from the larger bottle into the 2 oz one and also save some money.
