GAINESVILLE, Florida March 10, 2015 - After posting qualifying efforts within the top eight at the first two races of the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season, FireAde Pro Stock driver Larry Morgan is hoping to continue his fast start at this weekend's NHRA Gatornationals at Auto-Plus Raceway.

"I always look forward to going to Gainesville, though I am looking forward to it more than usual this year with our FireAde Chevy," Morgan said. "Last year I showed up to every race expecting to qualify and race in the first round. This year I feel like we can go rounds at every race just from the support we have behind us from FireAde, Chevrolet, and Gray Motorsports. It's a great feeling to have, that's for sure."

Now that he has established the issue that caused his inconsistency during his runs in Phoenix, Morgan is confident that his FireAde Chevrolet will run even better at the Gatornationals. Despite already proving that he will be in contention this year, Morgan feels he is capable of being a front-runner every week.

"The struts we ran at the first two races really needed to be replaced," Morgan said. "I knew it before we ran the races, but I couldn't fix them until after Phoenix. Once that's fixed, we can transfer the car right. It had zero travel before and really shouldn't even be running like it was.

"I handled it as best as I could and we still had good results. I know they could be better though, and they will be now that we got it fixed."

Qualifying sessions are scheduled for 12:45 and 3:45 p.m. ET, Friday, and noon and 3 p.m., Saturday. Eliminations will start at approximately noon Sunday, with both qualifying and elimination action broadcast on ESPN2 on tape-delay basis.
