COMP Cams and Traeger Grills will sponsor the annual Engine Builders appreciation luncheon held annually at this crown jewel event. The COMP Cams Engine Builders Luncheon presented by Traeger Grills is an opportunity for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to recognize and say thanks to all the engine builders that support open engine rules in the motorsports industry. COMP Cams has partnered with the LOLMDS to sponsor the Engine Builders Challenge program awarding engine builders that have drivers using their engines at series events with product and cash awards.
The Engine Builders Luncheon will take place at 1PM CST at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO on Saturday May 24th in conjunction with the running of the Lucas Oil Show-Me 100. The luncheon will include several engine component company reps from COMP Cams, CV Products, Edelbrock and Brodix to meet and speak with the engine builder reps that attend the luncheon. The Lucas Oil Late Model Series Dirt Series continues to support open competition engines as the choice for the series engine rules platform. The LOLMDS is the premier super late model dirt division in the country and the open engine rules of these cars provide fans the most exciting and entertaining form of motorsports. Participating engine builders will earn points at each event and the engine builder that earns the most points will be crowned the COMP Cams Engine Builder of the Year at the awards banquet. Several companies are offering product awards to any engine builder based on finishing positions at each series event.
