LAKE FOREST, CA (March 27,2014) On Saturday, during the opening weekend of LOORRS, Carl Renezeder and his championship crew debuted a new Lucas Oil, General Tire, KMC Wheels, Team Associated, Pro-2 with the hopes of carrying the positive momentum from last season into the Wild Horse Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona.
Saturday, Renezeder started out by qualifying second in the new Pro-2, qualifying was cut short for the Pro-4 due to front drive train issues. The team went to work and had the Pro-4 race ready by race time. In the opening laps of the Pro-2 race, contact had Renezeder spinning into 12th place, but after several hard battles, Renezeder ended up in fourth place, not a bad debut for a new truck with limited test time. The Pro 4, came in sixth, still fighting off persistent issues with the front end.
Sunday, the Pro -2 qualified fifth, and the Pro 4 showed its power, qualifying first with the fastest time. On Sunday's race, Renezeder drove his new truck to second place, earning his first podium of the year. The Pro 4 continued to have front end problems, and it is a credit to Renezeder's driving and patience that he made it through most of the four-wheel drive race in two-wheel drive, finishing the race in 4th place and maintaining the lead lap throughout the race.
The team will continue to work out the details on both the new truck and the reigning championship truck to give their fans the best racing action.
