Aspen, Colorado, January 28, 2014̶ As part of an elite field of the world's top snowmobile athletes, Team Jimmy John's was invited to participate in Winter X Games 2014; the world's most televised sporting event for action sport athletes.

The prestigious event, held on the famed slopes of Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen, Colorado January 23rd-26th, generates millions of impressions globally through live coverage on ESPN and ABC. It also draws upwards of 100,000 live spectators each year as athletes compete for Gold, Silver and Bronze medals alongside several other snow sport disciplines including snowboarding and skiing.

The team spent the past 2 weeks in Aspen preparing their sleds and conditioning their bodies for the extreme high altitude conditions. The snocross feature took place on Sunday afternoon, under clear skies with 10's of thousands of people lining the mountainside course. Team Jimmy John's Pro Athletes, Petter Narsa (#271) and Darrin Mees (#9) made impressive strides through their qualifying rounds with Mees coming in 3rd in his heats, and Narsa 4th. Swedish Host athlete Adam Renheim (#311) finished 5th in the LCQ, bringing all 3 Team Jimmy John's riders to the main event.

What started as a field of 24 athletes was now whittled down to a competitive stock of 15. Both Mees and Narsa made the outside front row, with Renheim starting in the back. Mees was fastest off the start, coming 4th out of the gate and settling in there for much of the 16 lap final. Narsa found himself 9th in lap one, with Renheim in 15th. As the grueling run wore on, Mees lost 2 positions while Renheim gained 8, and Narsa advanced 1. The team crossed the finish line in 6th ( Mees), 7th (Renheim) and 8th (Narsa) on the most technically challenging course of the season.

Tune in to ESPN for re-airs of the final. Team Jimmy John's returns to the ISOC National circuit in Deadwood, South Dakota, this Friday, January 31st. Like BOSS Racing on Facebook, or log onto www.teambossracing.com for current information.
