I have been a diesel mechanic for 20 years in the late 80's is when I first encountered Lucas Products, when a truck driver pulled into the shop with a broken axle cap. He bought the Lucas gear lube supplement and drove 200 miles into our shop on it! Today I have a stubborn front seal on my power steering pump on my tracker. I recently purchased a used 99 Cougar with about 84000 on the clock. After about a month the power steering started getting a little noisy and I noticed a few tight spots. My 1995 Villager with 320,000 KM on it started to develop a sqealing sound in the Power Steering pump. I thought it was just the -20 C Cold weather we were having since the sound would go away after a few KM of driving. But I had it checked out and they said there were no leaks and the belts were fine so they added Lucas Power Steering additive to the existing fluid. And the sound went away as well as improved the feel of steering at cold tempuratures.
